Retired Communication Professor Reverend Michael Russo spoke with KCBS News about the death of the nationally influential evangelical minister Reverend Billy Graham at the age of 99. Russo, a Catholic priest who is an expert on the intersections of religion and politics, commented on Graham's pioneering role in the harnessing of media to spread the message of Christianity, and his influence in national politics. Graham's influential Hour of Decision radio show, first broadcast in 1950, was heard around the world for more than 60 years.
