Publishers Weekly features a review of English Professor Matthew Zapruder’s forthcoming new book Father’s Day. Recognized widely in the literary world as “the bible of the book business,” the weekly news magazine and website calls Zapruder’s fifth collection of poetry “poignant,” and one that “recounts collisions of hope and despair, privilege and privation, and of finding joy on the precipice of disaster.” An Associate Professor in the MFA in Creative Writing Program at Saint Mary’s, Zapruder is also editor at large at Wave Books, and from 2016-7 held the annually rotating position of Editor of the Poetry Column for the New York Times Magazine. Father’s Day is scheduled for release in September.
