Description
Saint Mary's English Professor and acclaimed author Matthew Zapruder is one of the featured poets in the 2020 Muni Art Project, “Hidden Gems of San Francisco.” A five-year collaboration between San Francisco's Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA), San Francisco Beautiful and The Poetry Society of America (sponsors of Poetry in Motion®), the cultural initiative brings art and poetry to Bay Area commuters. An associate professor in Saint Mary’s MFA Program in Creative Writing, Zapruder's contribution to the rolling art exhibit is the poem "The Antidote To Fascism Is Poetry." Zapruder is the author of five collections of poetry, most recently Father’s Day, from Copper Canyon in Fall 2019.
