Description

An opinion piece on the humanitarian crisis in Venezuela by SEBA Global Business Professor Marco Aponte is featured by The Conversation, an independent public interest media outlet that promotes insights from academic experts in the U.S. and across the world. In his op-ed, Aponte, whose scholarly research includes extensive examination of political leadership in Venezuela, his native country, writes that while President Donald Trump has criticized the onerous actions of Venezuela’s Maduro administration, “close analysis of Trump’s Venezuela policy shows that his administration is doing much less than it could to ease Venezuelans’ suffering. But that hasn’t stopped the president from using the country’s crisis for Republicans’ political gain ahead of November’s midterm elections.” Aponte’s op-ed was also featured in news outlets across the nation, including Public Radio International (PRI) and the independent news outlet for the military community, the Navy Times.
