Session 2 - Integrating IR: Establishing a Collaborative Practice That Supports All Readers

Start Date

26-1-2023 10:30 AM

End Date

26-1-2023 11:15 AM

Description

How can librarians and teachers work together to build a robust independent reading program that supports all students, including the most reluctant readers? We will share how we collaborated at our school site to design and implement a year-long sequence of activities and systems built on a foundation of protected in-class reading time, “sticky” books, and consistent library visits. Join us to discuss ways to generate student, teacher, and administrative support to create a program that puts students at the center of their reading.
