High School Libraries Workshop

Soda Center, Saint Mary's College of California - Moraga, CA
Thursday, January 26th, 2023 - 8:30 AM - 3 PM

Are you a high school or middle school library worker in Northern California? You're invited to a one-day workshop at Saint Mary's College in Moraga on Thursday, January 26th. This long-running annual workshop is back in person for 2023! We're planning a full day of learning, sharing, and collaboration between high school/middle school and college library staff. There will be a mix of presentations from high school and college librarians and lots of time for unconferencing and informal discussion. Topics this year include fielding book challenges, independent reading for 10th grade, co-teaching an Ethnic Studies course, and expectations of sample college research assignments.

A continental breakfast, lunch, coffee, and snacks will be provided. You can indicate dietary requirements for vegetarian or gluten-free options on the registration form. The registration fee of $40 per attendee covers costs for food and beverage. Parking on campus costs $5 for the day (parking permits can be purchased from kiosks in the parking lots); our campus is also accessible from BART via bus or bike. More details will be shared in advance of the workshop date.

Cancellation policy: Refunds will be given for cancellations made before January 18, 2023.
Registration for 2023 is closed. Stay tuned for information about the 2024 event in the Fall.
