Current Issue: Volume 3, Issue 1 (2017) Interfaith Opportunities in Catholic Higher Education

Introduction

This issue of EPiCHE is dedicated to exploring the opportunities for interfaith education and engagements, specifically in Catholic higher education. Eboo Patel, Noah Silverman and Kristi Del Vecchio - the founder and two staff of the Interfaith Youth Core - offer the opening article which proposes avenues for strengthening interfaith conversation and engagement through academic and co-curricular opportunities. Through years of interfaith study and practice, religion scholar Barbara A. McGraw developed a framework for interfaith leadership, which is presented in the second article. In the third article, John C. Waldmeir, John C. Eby, Samantha E. Eckrich & Rebecca A. Edwards offer insights from their community-based research project aimed at assessing attitudes of religion throughout a small city. This issue of EPiCHE concludes with a conversation between EPiCHE Editor Marshall J. Welch and renown service-learning scholar and practitioner Seth Pollack. Their conversation explores how Seth's faith orientation influences his work and his ideas for infusing interfaith efforts into community engagement. We hope you enjoy this issue.
